These fine mesh 75 micron polyester food grade Hop Sock BIAB (6″ x 8″ or 15cm x 20cm) bags are perfect for small grain additions or for hopping beer (suitable for use up to 110 degrees C).
These custom made HopSocks have a strong construction and prevent hop blockages during transfers and minimises loss of wort to hop trub. Using these HopSocks makes clean up simple. To use simply suspend in the kettle, to contain hops while boiling your wort.
Alternatively use is as a Grain Steeping Bag when steeping fresh specialty grain to add your brew. Pour your grain in and drop into a saucepan of 1 litre of hot (not boiling) water for 10-30 Minutes. At the end of steeping, simply remove the bag, give it a light squeeze and discard the grain. Then boil the grain wort for 10 minutes before adding to the fermenter for a lovely fresh grain flavour to your beer. You can also add some fresh hop pellets to the boil as well to improve your flavour even more.
You won’t know what you did without them during brew day
